Oh.. my.. god.

Just stumbled across your blog (loving the layout btw) and saw this post.

I’ve never been able to stand k-dramas. Everyone around me is freaking out over these Korean fads, and I’m just like… I don’t get it it’s not even that good. You’ll probably disagree, since you still do like k-dramas to some extent, but I don’t know, it’s always been simply annoying to me.

But about the love triangles… when will they stop making those. Whenever I’m watching a Chinese drama (I watch cause I understand the language) or an American TV show or an anime or whatever, I always immediately close it if it’s a love triangle. I’ve had bad experiences with them… I always (80%) root for the “wrong guy” who ends up with no one.

I’m currently reading Faster than a Kiss (manga), and I like that there’s a minimal love triangle in the series. It’s also really cute and fun and lighthearted. I’ve become addicted to it. xD I have a few other mangas on my to-read list, so I’m hoping to get through those. I need more, though. *o*

Bad decision watching the Devil Inside instead! I heard the movie was horrible. :c But Underworld: Awakening was absolutely…breathtakingly amazing. I want to spend the money to watch it again and again, to be honest. Kate Beckinsale is 10,000x more bad ass in this one, mostly because she’s a pissed off vampire. I saw it in 3D because where I am they weren’t really playing it in 2D, and it was totally worth it. I want to see it in IMAX 3D now! Yes, you need to go see it.

I’ve never watched K-dramas because I don’t speak any other language but English, so… xD But I can relate with American TV shows. For example: The Vampire Diaries. I fell in love with this show and quickly fell out of love with it when things just kept happening over and over again. It was like absolutely nothing changed throughout the entire show. I always wanted her to be with Damen because Stefan gets everything he wants and just… Yep, it angered me greatly. Now I’m reading lots of manga, though, and watching quite a few animes (with English voice overs, of course xD). American TV bores me now (unless I’m watching Bones or Supernatural) because they’re all the same: boy meets girl or girl meets boy, but there’s another boy or another girl, and OMG SURPRISE, love triangle thing! -_-’ no. No more.

I don’t know how university works where you live but its great you get to choose your own courses. You’ll love it a lot more than high school, a little more freedom. I’m stuck with doing courses I hate for a degree I love.

I understand what you mean by content, when I was in high school I just thought how so much of this shit was pointless and it was only confirmed when I went to uni.

I can relate to this on some level. Although I have a lot less freedom in high school as we can’t really pick our classes, I can relate. I wish I could just pick the classes I want to take, and take them in any order and not always have to go into class thinking, “Great. Another awesome day in Geometry.” I hate a lot of my classes for the pure reason that I just don’t like the content.

Of course, I can’t make up the content myself. That doesn’t work either. >_<

I know exactly what you mean! Books and reading used to be such a large part of my life, and now I’m lucky if I read a book in a year. Right now I’m attempting to get through “The Year of Fog” which is about a little girl who gets abducted while on the beach with her step-mother. It’s actually a really good read so far, but I just never seem to have TIME for it anymore.

I recently read “Perks…” a few years ago and fell in love with it. I had always wanted to read it growing up, but never got around to it. It moved me so much more than I ever thought it would. Actually, I almost want to read it again. But I told my 13-year old sister she could borrow it. I was hoping it may help her through some tough times.

Livejournal is very convenient for keeping up to date with friends. I like the various communities especially ones related to manga artists and anime. Livejournal should give you an upgrade, you’ve been with them for so long! You deserve it.

It has been quite a while since I’ve been active on Livejournal. I come and go a lot from there. I have had the account for something like 8 years now!
I like how it sorts all of their friends and groups and is easy to keep everything up to date.

I really hate the advertising they have everywhere now though. I feel as though I’ve had my account so long I should be like a Legacy account or something
